What Prayr costs to run
These are the bills that keep Prayr online and in the app stores, and the first thing support goes to. Once they’re covered, everything beyond goes into building Prayr: a better app, and in time paid help with design, writing and outreach.

One membership, at the amount you choose
Every supporter is simply a supporter: there are no tiers. Gumroad’s checkout asks for the amount and how often, and keeps it at or above the minimum.

Yearly support loses less to fees, because the fixed part of each fee is charged once a year instead of twelve times. Any amount above the minimum is welcome.

One gift, at the amount you choose, with nothing to cancel. As a thank you, you can show a supporter badge and add your name to the supporters wall for a year.

Asked often
What do supporters get?
If you’d like, a small supporter mark beside your name on the feedback boards, and your name on the supporters wall on this page. Both are off until you turn them on in Settings → Supporting Prayr. Supporters through the web also get the occasional update by email, through Gumroad.
How does my support reach my Prayr account?
Pay with the same email as your Prayr account and it joins your account by itself, usually within a minute. Paid with a different email? Sign in and open Settings → Supporting Prayr: we email a code to the address you paid with, and entering it links your support.
Is anything locked?
No, and nothing ever will be. Every part of Prayr stays free for everyone, supporter or not.
Where does the money go?
First, to the costs listed on this page: servers and database, the app store accounts that let Prayr ship as an app, desktop app signing, the web address, and email. The bar shows how much of each month supporters cover, after fees. Once those are covered, everything beyond goes into building Prayr: the time it takes to keep improving the app, and in time paying people to help with design, writing and outreach, so it can keep offering the best experience it can.
Can I give just once?
Yes. Use Give once on this page: one gift, at the amount you choose, with nothing to cancel. Gifts of $5 or more come with the supporter badge and a place on the supporters wall for a year.
How do I cancel?
Through the Gumroad link in your receipt, or from Settings → Supporting Prayr → Manage on Gumroad. You stay a supporter until the end of the period you paid for.
Who handles payment and tax?
Gumroad. It takes the payment, handles VAT and sales tax wherever you are, and sends the receipt. Prayr never sees your card number and keeps none of your card details.
Can I pay by bank transfer instead?
Yes. Email support@prayr-app.com to arrange it.
