Delete your Prayr account
You can delete your account yourself at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
In the app
- Sign in at prayr-app.com (or open the Prayr app).
- Go to Settings → Profile.
- Optional: choose Download my data to keep a copy.
- Choose Delete account…, type DELETE and confirm.
Can't sign in?
Email support@prayr-app.com from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my Prayr account”. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address, then delete the account within 30 days and reply when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in (email, password, Google or Discord link) and every session
- Your profile: name, email, photo, phone, bio, date of birth, gender, timezone
- Prayer log, habits, du'a progress and bookmarks, saved podcasts, recent activity
- Settings, push-notification subscriptions and in-app notifications
- Community memberships, event RSVPs, claims and reports you filed
- Scholar applications and their documents, draft articles
- Upvotes, private feedback messages, and pictures you uploaded to your profile or bug reports
What stays, without your name
- Feature requests, bug reports and comments on the public feedback board (their screenshots are deleted)
- Community posts, events and gallery photos, and communities you created, which belong to that community
- Published articles (the byline you chose is kept)
What we keep
- A deletion record: your former account ID, a one-way hash of your email address and the date, so we can confirm the deletion if you ask
- Records of moderation actions our team took on the account, for safety and legal purposes
- Encrypted database backups expire on our hosting provider's rolling schedule; deleted data is not restored from them
Data kept only on your device as a guest (before you signed in) is not on our servers; clear it from the app or your browser. See our Privacy Policy for details.
