Qur'an & audio

Read the Qur'an, or let someone read it to you

The full Qur'an in Uthmani and IndoPak script, with translation alongside, and reciters you can listen to while you read. It remembers where you stopped, so coming back does not mean finding your place again.

Reading

Arabic set to be read, not squeezed in

Qur'anic Arabic needs room. The harakāt above and the tails of ي and ج below collide with the lines around them at ordinary web line-heights, and most sites ship it that way. Prayr sets it with the leading it actually needs.

  • Uthmani and IndoPak scripts, in real Qur'anic typefaces
  • Translation alongside the Arabic, or hidden when you want only the Arabic
  • Word-by-word view for when you are working through a verse
  • Your place is remembered, down to the ayah

Listening

Follow the recitation while you read

Play a reciter and the reader follows along, highlighting the ayah being recited and scrolling to keep it in view. Stop mid-surah and it picks up from there next time.

  • A range of reciters to choose between
  • The current ayah highlighted as it is recited
  • Repeat a single ayah while you are learning it
  • The player stays with you as you move around the app

Questions

Asked often

Still stuck? Message us on X or email us. A person answers.

Is the whole Qur'an available?

Yes — all 114 surahs, in full, with translation. There is nothing held back behind an account or a payment.

Which translation is used?

Prayr ships a widely used English translation alongside the Arabic. The Arabic text is the reference; the translation is there to help you follow it.

Can I listen without reading?

Yes. Start a reciter and the audio keeps playing while you use the rest of the app, or while the tab sits in the background.

Does it remember where I stopped?

Yes, both for reading and for audio. Signed in, that position follows you to your other devices; signed out, it stays on the device you were using.
